The Academic Debuts series appeared with young scholars just starting their career in mind. It is supposed to enable them to publicize and to popularize the scientific research conducted in open access. From among the works submitted we intend to publish the ones which can potentially contribute to the development of science or present an innovative approach to the issue. In particular cases also interesting and innovative diploma thesis can be published in co-authorship with the thesis advisor. We do hope this will encourage the young people to undertake more challenges in the world of science, and these will also be publicized.
The topics of the of the works accepted include the scope of broadly perceived linguistics, translation studies, glottodidactics, literary studies and cultural studies. It is also planned to issue thematic collective volumes or volumes including materials presented at conferences for young linguists.
